For the eighteenth banner, I started off doing something different for the logo. I'm not going to go into too much great detail, but I can tell you that it was to have a completely different font and say '.Blogspot.Com' on it. So you can view the draft copy of this banner and logo here. The final design was just a smaller version of Logo 12, as it did not need to take up a lot of space.

This banner, in the end, proved to be a lot of hard work! First of all, I had a vortex in which I had made myself, and wanted to include, but later, it didn't work terribly well, faded out, on the actual site, so it was taken off. But, look out for this in the near future! I got a fantastic picture of a Cyberman for a trailer, up close and changed colours on either side, to give a glowing feel. Finally, I had an updated version of Microsoft Word, which allowed me to do new things. Just like the timings and stuff to the right-hand side, which they sort of blend in, giving a very good look. I got a picture of some Cybershades, and also the Doctor, in one of a Cyberman's eyes, from a trailer. Put all together, it looks really good (hopefully)! Read more about the logo in that section.

This is the first Christmas countdown banner, and from the time of writing, I'm not sure how many more there will be... I'm still amazed that I can do all these on Word! The outlining of the pictures on it look like they're done on Photoshop! Well, that's what I think anyway. I cropped a picture from a Doctor Who wallpaper, showing some Christmas trees. The other two pictures are screen caps from two trailers, and the contrast has been increased. At the moment, for each day in December, there will be the date shown in the top left on the trees. This, in the future (who knows), might be known as the 'Christmas Logo', as it's up for Christmas. The text may not stay this font for 2009, but revert back to the old one, so I don't have to change all the banners on the pages. I changed the colour of the 'Who' logo to black and white, for that wintery touch, and made it a lot longer, making it spread out across the whole banner. I hope you like this new logo, as it took me ages trying to make a newly-designed one.

One winner of the banner competition, celebrating 45 years of Doctor Who. This one was made by Lee Dawson. Below you can read about it, written exclusively for the site by Lee!

When I first saw the rules saying you must include some sort of 45 year theme to the banner I was like Oh god how am I gunna do this. So I searched the internet and found a picture of all 10 Doctors. So I imported them and rubbed away all the backgrounds ready to place onto the banner. So I had an empty banner with 10 heads bobbing up at the bottom. I needed a background. So I thought of a Doctor Who episode with a nice visual theme and I grabbed one from The Runaway Bride. Next was the slogan(s) So after a while of thinking I produced some catchy lines. All that was then needed were some finishing touches likes bevels and glows and repositioning and I was done. I was very happy with my finished product and was even more happy when I won!

It is the same as the one below, except that I changed it to a red, instead of the blue. With the original lines around the edges of it, it did not look right, so I increased the size slightly of the outlines, which makes it stand out more and look even better!

The same as the one below, but this had the normal colours. Except it's slightly different, because the contrast has been brought up to 75%, and the brightness on 55%. This is the current logo.

I came up with a completely new logo, which I really like. It is meant to be like no.10 (see above) but this had to fit with the banner, which was a sort of grey/silver style, so I made it a light silver, by turning the contrast and brightness up fully. I put the ampersand back to the usual and, and made the site the same way, again. The two parts of the logo actually only make up half of the normal Who logo, when put together! The two parts are actually the same, but one is rotated the other way round, so the light isn't in the same place. I wanted to put the 'adventures through' and the 'time and space' on separate parts, so the logo was not too long, as previous ones had been!

For the new site design, this had to change! I had half, actually, a third of the normal Who logo, and put new font colours and everything on the title. I made it into lower case this time, and the rest of the site went the same way, apart from the posts, and a few other things. I also changed the and to an ampersand, and also the same with the site again.

This was a Halloween banner, in which I took a picture from the Doctor Who book, Forever Autumn. I turned the contrast up again, to help it blend into the black. I got a fire picture, actually from the Campfire trailer, and turned it black and white for more effect. The logo changed to black and white also, with the words in black and fading into blue as you go down. Then the words, which are also from the campfire trailer, for some effect for Halloween.

I redesigned most of the banner for this one! I was originally going to have another Sarah Jane one, this time for The Day Of The Clown, but somehow, I decided not to. I was looking at the screen caps for the Series 4 campfire trailer, when I realised that they all had black edges and looked great! So I put these on, and chose the Ood one, as it shows a true monster of Doctor Who. Something that definitely defines the Who world from the real one. I could easily have chosen a Dalek, but they are so common now! It was a sort of rounding up the end of Series 4. I thought the picture of the Doctor looked white sinister, as if the Doctor is getting darker, and it looks great! Behind the logo is the Tardis in the vortex, which I have used before in banners 10 and 11. I put the contrast up, so the dark bits went black to blend in, and changed the whole colour! While the rest of the banner is a red-orange, this stands out perfectly with a purple, bluey and green one. Plus, to fit in with the banner, and also to make it look good, I changed the colour of the logo to a red, instead of the blue. With the original lines around the edges of it, it did not look right, so I increased the size slightly of the outlines, which makes it stand out more and look even better!

I've now decided to start changing them every week, showing pictures of the latest episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures. So, with the week of The Last Sontaran and the Day of the Clown, I had Maria to the left, as she is leaving and a clown, for the CBBC episode. I turned the contrast up on both pictures, which helped blend the clown picture onto the black, as it was brown before.

It took me ages to do this banner, and it had a slightly different look to it than the others. This is the 2nd Sarah Jane Adventures banner, promoting the first episode of Series 2, The Last Sontaran. I took off the transparent Who logo this time, and just had it plain, plus I took off the Tardis from the background. I just wanted a nice, simple, colourful banner this time. Again, I had to find two pictures with dark edges, and eventually I did. There is the great one with Maria in, because beside the tree was dark, on the Sontaran I'd previously used in the last banner, but it's moved slightly. The same logo was used. I'd tried using words like 'Starts Monday, 4:35pm, BBC One', with the Sarah Jane Adventures logo, but it just looked messy!

I kept the same design from last banner, but turned it into the first Sarah Jane themed banner. I added a Sontaran picture, and a circus man picture, plus I put a version of the Sarah jane Adventures logo in the left-top corner. It was really difficult with this one to get the line where the pictures meet showing, as they're slightly different colours. That's where the transparent Who logo comes in handy...

I didn't do much to this from the last one, but made the grey large Who logo more transparent, so we could see more colour, took out the 'will return' bit, put the logo in the middle and added the Tardis in the Time Vortex behind it, to give it a bit more colour and to have a Tardis as well! Job done! I think this looks much better than the last one!

Now, I was trying to make a 'will return at Christmas' sort of banner, but because I can't use photoshop, had to try and be clever! The two pictures, of the Doctor and a Cyberman, both had black outlines, so that would work if I put a black rectangle behind it! Yes! But then I wanted to add an extra touch to it, so I took all the colour out of the Who logo, and turned it slightly transparent. Blow it up tremendously, and here we have it, plus the 'will return...' bit that I wanted. It sort of looked Christmassy, in a Cyberman sort of way too, as it was grey, and there were nice swirls and stuff. Look at the logos section to find out more on the new logo!

I love it this way at the moment, and hopefully this design should stay for a while yet!

I completely changed the 'desktop theme' in the middle of July 2008, going from a really boring and awful design, to this one, which I really like, and am very happy with! Unfortunately all my widgets on the sidebar go deleted, so I had to start again! Sorry about this picture by the way. It has lots of writing under the banner, because this was when the site was still in maintenance mode, and was just starting the new design! I put new features on, like episode guides and facts in the sidebar, which linked to posts I'd put it on.

I used it because it was the best template I could find in the original Blogger Templates, and at that time, as I was new to blogger, I didn't realize you could have custom designs. This didn't have much on it, apart from a few facts, and bits of information. It lasted for three whole months, and while Series 4 of Doctor Who was running on TV. I literally don't know how I survived with this design! It was horrible! So one day, I went on a search for a new template...
